Another great monochrome fight was had this years and tears of joy and sadness abounded!!
The Judge was Ted Baker FRPS. Ted, himself a very fine monochrome artist, judged the images by the standard that the late Alec Balmer would have liked. So there was a very varied selection of award winners.
This years winner is Mike McWade with his image of Black Linn Falls, nearDunkeld, Perth and Kinross
There were many more fine images, but alas we don’t have the space!

Once again a great entry for the Culture Competition.
The judging was by John Riley ARPS. The competition was sponsored by Cavern City Tours, thank you Chris and Dave Jones.

Well done to the winners and comisererations to the rest of us, but we all had a great meal at the Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool, while we had the final judging.

Yes Folks, we did brilliantly at the Martin Avery Competition last night, Tuesday 29th November 2011. It was held at the Poynton Civic Centre, and hosted by the North Cheshire Photographic Club. The judge for the evening was David Butler.
Not only did Michelle Burrows come up trumps to win the best print of the night, but Tony Myers and Kevin Kelly picked up the next two places.
Then to top it all we won the Martin Avery acrylic Trophy for the highest aggregate scores on the night.

Here are the results for the 2011 Fab4 Panel Competition.There were two Categories, Printed Images and Digital Images, with a colour and a mono subsection in each.
