Well folks,
A great time was had at the South Liverpool clubhouse for the final round of the competition. Most clubs were able to attend. Our judge for the evening was Ian Whiston. Ian gave a very good critique on each of the six clubs ten images. Although all the pictures were of a very good standard there were some real cracking pictures among them. Unfortunately for most of the clubs, Southport seemed to have most of them! This resulted in a club win for Southport PS by 60 + points, and also the individual print winner, which went to Les Auld with ‘Steampunk’. We had a lovely break at half time and it was a time to catch up with friends from other clubs and make new ones as well. Roll on next year, and we will see if they can be toppled.
Many thanks go to SLPS’s own Denis Foy for organising the competition for the last few years. Denis will be seeking a new apprentice to take over from him next year.
