Sean delivered an excellent Introduction to using Photoshop to enhance and print our photographs, with particular emphasis on preparing images for SLPS competitions.  Not an easy task as some of the group had never used photoshop and others were fairly experienced.   Sean had prepared printed handouts and took us step by step through the processes from capture to print,  illustrated with his own superb images.

Layers, masks, selection tools, replacing backgrounds, keyboard shortcuts, refine edge tools, image size, resolution etc. were covered.   Sean was happy to share his hints and tips for defining eyes and improving skin quality on portraits and again made this look so easy!!!

The session concluded with a  further range of questions on camera craft, where Sean explained and clarified several issues relating to white balance, spot metering.

Ann Creswell  was thanked for adding her customary sweet touch to this meeting with delicious home made chocolate buns and  scrummy apple cake.

Another thank you goes to Derek Lang’s wife who sent a box of Thornton’s chocs for us to share, good job it was a big box.

So …..  come along to the next group on March 16th with Noel George on Table Top Photography – bring your camera and lenses for a really practical, hands-on session.   (Only £3 for members.)
