Annual print competition 2022 – winning images

Here are the winners of the 6 sections of the annual print competition, judged by Nick Hilton DPAGB EFIAP BPE5*

‘No Further’ by Mal Jones, 1st place Pictorial and Illustrative, Colour

‘Cyclists’ Hostel, Norway’ by Derek Gould was 1st place in the Pictorial and Illustrative Mono section and was also given the award for the overall best print in the competition.

‘At the Phil’ by Derek Gould won the Portrait and Figure Study section

‘Lichfield Cathedral Choir and High Altar’ by Ed Foy was placed 1st in the Record and Architecture section

1st place in the Nature section was awarded to ‘Dalmatian Pelicans, Lake Kerkini’ by Martin Reece

‘Washed up on the Beach’ by Simon Rahilly was awarded 1st place in the Creative and Avant-Garde section

30 January 7.30pm on ZOOM – Neil Malton DPAGB “A Walk on the Wild Side” I was a keen naturalist before I came to photography as a hobby and only took it up to photograph insects mainly. In the late 70’s I joined PPS and my photographic interests diversified somewhat. I now enjoy Infra red photography, Landscape and Creative as well as Natural History. I have been to the USA and Africa in pursuit of photography.
