Thursday night at CADWA saw the third running of the Annual Merseyside Life Competition.
The former ‘ Capital of Culture Competition’ was renamed three years ago to include pictures of
Places, People and Events on Merseyside taken during the previous year.
The reward for the winner is the magnificent ‘Peter Kaye’ Trophy that will be presented at our Annual awards night in Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral.
The Club welcomed Steve Carr from Wallasey CC as Judge for the night.
Very experienced and knowledgeable about photography and the local area, he gave members an encouraging and helpful critique of all the images.
From 115 images entered by 24 members Steve decided the top three places went to the following.
“Victoria” by Alan Shufflebotham, First Place
“Drummer Boys” by Paul Matthews, 2nd Place
“Sacrifice” by Paul Matthews, 3rd Place
